North Pembroke's Albert Djahnine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save North Pembroke from getting a goal against them. Abdel Karim Madjer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Djahnine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Yasmina Ramdane was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. North Pembroke's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schertz the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of North Pembroke:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Schertz:s goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salim Nabil got free with Albert Djahnine in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mustapha Mecherara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albert Djahnine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdel Karim Madjer in the 36th minute of the match. After 36 minutes, Jean-Michel Belkhadem mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Schertz and the North Pembroke players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abdel Karim Madjer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salim Nabil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Albert Djahnine made a huge save. Hocine Aribi's late challenge caught a Schertz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hocine Aribi helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Schertz booed when North Pembroke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hocine Aribi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yasmina Ramdane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Halim Guendouz hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Mustapha Mecherara made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, North Pembroke's goal looked a bit too open when Salim Nabil came free, but Albert Djahnine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the North Pembroke players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Schertz.
