Robert Zaoui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liamine Azzizi-Kettab, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, HEARTS OF OAK SC's Liamine Azzizi-Kettab sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Zaoui narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Golden FC booed when HEARTS OF OAK SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid Gourion didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Golden FC's Bendjedid Brahami tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Madhi Temmams short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Medjadi Messaoud to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of HEARTS OF OAK SC booed when Golden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmed Lacen didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to HEARTS OF OAK SC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Liamine Azzizi-Kettab hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Liamine Azzizi-Kettab's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Zaoui was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lounès Reda Madouni to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, HEARTS OF OAK SC's goal looked a bit too open when Farid Hamid came free, but Medjadi Messaoud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Lounès Reda Madouni fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Liamine Azzizi-Kettab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Zaoui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lounès Reda Madouni in the 62nd minute of the match. When Golden FC's Farid Hamid in 66 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Medjadi Messaoud guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Farid Hamid in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Medjadi Messaoud saved HEARTS OF OAK SC from getting behind. If Lounès Reda Madouni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Farid Hamid struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Medjadi Messaoud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden FC. 84 minutes into the game, Salim Yahia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HEARTS OF OAK SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden FC the free kick. Salim Yahia hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Farid Hamid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Medjadi Messaoud having to interfere. In the 94th minute Madhi Temmam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Medjadi Messaoud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Golden FC's zone, Salim Yahia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Zaoui came out of the goal and Salim Yahia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched HEARTS OF OAK SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
