Tedj Bellemou Messaoud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bouabdellah Moussa, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Elon College's supporters rose to their feet, but Bouabdellah Moussa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tedj Bellemou Messaoud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Elon College's Karim Saïd-Guerni got a free kick in the 27th minute. Bouabdellah Moussa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tedj Bellemou Messaoud having to interfere. Assia Mohand struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Abd el Sakhri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lakeland Highlands AFC. Lakhdar Zakaria hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karim Saïd-Guerni during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 51st minute, Karim Saïd-Guerni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Elon College's Lakhdar Zakaria got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Halim Mamouni sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Elon College's Abd el Sakhri didn't even have to move. A collision led to Elon College getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Dida Schoonmaker hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Lakeland Highlands AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bouabdellah Moussa came free, but Tedj Bellemou Messaoud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Bouabdellah Moussa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tedj Bellemou Messaoud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 played minutes Lakeland Highlands AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mimoun Megharia. After having played for 74 minutes, El Djebbour managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elon College's supporters crossed their fingers, but El Djebbour was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elon College's El Djebbour managed to work through Lakeland Highlands AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. El Djebbour dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. El Djebbour's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tedj Bellemou Messaoud read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bouabdellah Moussa in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tedj Bellemou Messaoud saved Lakeland Highlands AFC from getting behind. After having played for 88 minutes, Bouabdellah Moussa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elon College's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bouabdellah Moussa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tedj Bellemou Messaoud came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Elon College's El Djebbour. But to his dismay, El Djebbour quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Mohammad Kaci Benaouf hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lakeland Highlands AFC's zone, El Djebbour stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tedj Bellemou Messaoud came out of the goal and El Djebbour tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elon College walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
