After 9 minutes, Abdellah Medjadi Boutabout mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paw Paw AFC and the Saginaw FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 14 minutes into the match, Saginaw FC's Farid Said sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Soltani Sennaoui narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Soltani Sennaoui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liamine Hamruche in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Liamine Hamruche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saginaw FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paw Paw AFC the free kick. The supporters of Paw Paw AFC booed when Saginaw FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liamine Hamruche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tayeb Aribi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 19th playminute. Liamine Hamruche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yacine Derrida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdellah Medjadi Boutabout in the 29th minute of the match. If Houari Taha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Farid Said shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Soltani Sennaoui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saginaw FC's Charles Gourion got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Houari Taha made the kick off in the second half. Houari Taha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yacine Derrida having to interfere. Yacine Derrida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Houari Taha in the 57th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Saginaw FC's goal looked a bit too open when Houari Taha came free, but Yacine Derrida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charles Gourion's late challenge caught a Paw Paw AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles Gourion helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Saginaw FC's Charles Gourion got a free kick in the 67th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Houari Taha in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yacine Derrida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute, Abdellah Medjadi Boutabout hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Soltani Sennaoui made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Liamine Hamruche sent off a good shot on target. If Farid Said had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Saginaw FC booed when Paw Paw AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zoheir Mihoubi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Farid Said managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saginaw FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Farid Said was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Soltani Sennaoui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paw Paw AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Saginaw FC for a fine match.
