Kamel Sadmi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Halim Bouzid's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kamel Sadmi was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 13th minute Halim Bouzid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamel Sadmi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rensselaer's goalkeeper Kamel Sadmi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rensselaer's Kamel Sadmi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Rensselaer from getting a goal against them. Nouredine Khendu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmond Oussalah having to interfere. In the 26thth minute of the game Halim Bouzid who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rensselaer's Kamel Sadmi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute, Lounès Zaoui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 minutes, Ahmed Bilal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quincy and the Rensselaer players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rensselaer booed when Quincy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmed Bilal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nouredine Khendu might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmond Oussalah. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nouredine Khendu ran back to his position shaking his head. After 42 minutes of play, Rensselaer's Hicham Gallaire made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmond Oussalah was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 45 minutes, Nouredine Khendu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rensselaer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nouredine Khendu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Nouredine Khendu made the kick off in the second half. Amar Bahari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Kamel Sadmi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Rensselaer getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Fodil Bezzaz hit a great ball. After 68th play minutes Halim Bouzid shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Kamel Sadmi and just under the crossbar into goal. 71 minutes into the match, Quincy's Amar Bahari sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kamel Sadmi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kamel Sadmi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amar Bahari, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Quincy's zone, Nouredine Khendu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmond Oussalah came out of the goal and Nouredine Khendu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amar Bahari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamel Sadmi having to interfere.
