Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Frontenac's Belmadi Adjani started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mehdi Mamouni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafik Boutabout in the 8th minute of the match. After 9 minutes of play, Croswell's Muhammad Souakri made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mehdi Mamouni was left in no man's land by his defense there! El Bedjaoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Belmadi Adjani put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rachid Zouba. Houari Schoonmaker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Frontenac booed when Croswell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafik Boutabout didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mehdi Mamouni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafik Boutabout, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by El Bedjaoui in the 29th minute of play forced Frontenac's goalkeeper Mehdi Mamouni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamid Kouri charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hamid Kouri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Croswell getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Hamid Kouri hit a great ball. Houari Schoonmaker hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, El Bedjaoui had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mehdi Mamouni. Frontenac's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that El Bedjaoui was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The supporters of Frontenac booed when Croswell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafik Boutabout didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rachid Zouba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Houari Schoonmaker in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Croswell's Salah El-Hadi got a free kick in the 44th minute. Belmadi Adjani struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Rachid Zouba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frontenac. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Frontenac's Mehdi Mamouni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Frontenac from getting a goal against them. Mehdi Mamouni came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Croswell's Muhammad Souakri. But to his dismay, Muhammad Souakri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamid Kouri got free with Mehdi Mamouni in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute, Croswell's El Bedjaoui ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mehdi Mamouni. Mehdi Mamouni yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. Belmadi Adjani might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rachid Zouba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belmadi Adjani ran back to his position shaking his head. Houari Schoonmaker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fadel Djebar charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fadel Djebar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 played minutes Croswell got a freekick which was hit by Fadel Djebar. Abdelmalek Sad was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Houari Schoonmaker was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 77 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Chadli Maroc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rachid Zouba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Madjid Sifi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes in the game, El Bedjaoui fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mehdi Mamouni having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Croswell's Rafik Boutabout nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mehdi Mamouni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. Frontenac's Belmadi Adjani got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Frontenac lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
