Cheb Iles started the match with the kick off. Hocine El-Kenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismaël Taha having to interfere. Leon Boukensa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yazid Abbas having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Des Plaines FC's zone, Hocine El-Kenz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismaël Taha came out of the goal and Hocine El-Kenz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yazid Abbas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Boukensa in the 20th minute of play. Des Plaines FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cheb Iles 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Cheb Iles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdelnacer Mezair struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Yazid Abbas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Des Plaines FC. Mohammad Kaci Said sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cheb Iles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ismaël Taha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hocine El-Kenz came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Wapakoneta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hocine El-Kenz couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Des Plaines FC booed when Wapakoneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cheb Iles didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cheb Iles got the opportunity to take care of a free kick, it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball hit the crossbar and flew out of bounds. Cheb Iles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismaël Taha having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Mohamed Zidane hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Des Plaines FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hocine El-Kenz came free, but Ismaël Taha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yazid Abbas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leon Boukensa in the 66th minute. Des Plaines FC's Leon Boukensa got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 70 minutes, Leon Boukensa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Des Plaines FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Boukensa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mohammad Kaci Said had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Boukensa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Yazid Abbas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohammad Kaci Said was extremely unlucky when he, in the 76th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fouad Meriem hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Des Plaines FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cheb Iles came free, but Ismaël Taha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hocine El-Kenz in the 83rd minute of play forced Des Plaines FC's goalkeeper Ismaël Taha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hocine El-Kenz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ismaël Taha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cheb Iles came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Wapakoneta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cheb Iles couldn't finish the play. After 94 minutes, Mohammad Kaci Said mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Des Plaines FC and the Wapakoneta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Mohammad Kaci Said managed to get in a good position for a shot. Des Plaines FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohammad Kaci Said was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yazid Abbas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Des Plaines FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wapakoneta.
