Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Muhammad Kensi made the kick off which started today's match. 9 minutes into the game, Muhammad Kensi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Halim Azzizi-Kettab. Muhammad Kensi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Whitinsville's Halim Azzizi-Kettab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amine Bellemou Messaoud in the 19th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Halim Azzizi-Kettab successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 24th minute, Whitinsville's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Reda Boudiaf fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Whitinsville's goalkeeper Halim Azzizi-Kettab, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Halim Azzizi-Kettab made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reda Boudiaf in the 34th minute. Reda Boudiaf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Colby AFC's Rachid Karim Belkassem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lakhdar Mérah-Benida in the 43rd minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Lakhdar Mérah-Benida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitinsville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lakhdar Mérah-Benida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lakhdar Mérah-Benida made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reda Boudiaf in the 53rd minute of play forced Whitinsville's goalkeeper Halim Azzizi-Kettab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Madjer during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Whitinsville getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Daniel Madjer hit a great ball. If Muhammad Kensi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the game, Yacine Kourichi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Whitinsville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colby AFC the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Whitinsville's zone, Reda Boudiaf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Halim Azzizi-Kettab came out of the goal and Reda Boudiaf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Colby AFC were furious when Chadli Moussa was red carded, 68 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Colby AFC! Rachid Karim Belkassem had in the 70thth minute some difficulties stopping Fouad Kraouche's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Whitinsville's goal looked a bit too open when Reda Boudiaf came free, but Halim Azzizi-Kettab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rachid Karim Belkassem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lakhdar Mérah-Benida, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Colby AFC's goalkeeper Rachid Karim Belkassem had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frantz Zakaria. The Whitinsville fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Whitinsville's Lakhdar Mérah-Benida looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Whitinsville's Lakhdar Mérah-Benida got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lakhdar Mérah-Benida in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rachid Karim Belkassem saved Colby AFC from getting behind. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
