Spectators: 7401 (Terracing: 5551, Seating: 1702, VIP seats: 148) Wolverhampton's Hocine Zahouania started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Menad Benzine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Wolverhampton's zone, Smail Sahraoui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rachid Mesbah came out of the goal and Smail Sahraoui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 4 played minutes Wolverhampton got a freekick which was hit by Lazhar Mihoubi. Kamel Soltani made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Hocine Zahouania sent off a good shot on target. Rachid Mesbah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Smail Sahraoui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Smail Sahraoui kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Medjadi Belkacem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hocine Zahouania might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kamel Soltani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hocine Zahouania ran back to his position shaking his head. Rachid Mesbah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Smail Sahraoui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maamar Lemoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Mesbah having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Smail Sahraoui put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rachid Mesbah. Rachid Mesbah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maamar Lemoui in the 42nd minute of the match. When Medjadi Belkacem came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Wolverhampton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Medjadi Belkacem couldn't finish the play. The Wolverhampton players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Carlsbad AFC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maamar Lemoui stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kamel Soltani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hocine Zahouania, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Wolverhampton's Rachid Mesbah got control of the ball when Smail Sahraoui tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rachid Mesbah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maamar Lemoui in the 59th minute of play. Maamar Lemoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rachid Mesbah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Maamar Lemoui came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Carlsbad AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maamar Lemoui couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, Wolverhampton's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Smail Sahraoui fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Smail Sahraoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Rachid Mesbah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mahmoud Ziani in the 72nd minute of play forced Carlsbad AFC's goalkeeper Kamel Soltani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Smail Sahraoui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carlsbad AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Smail Sahraoui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rachid Mesbah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lazhar Mihoubi kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Hocine Zahouania fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamel Soltani having to interfere. The Wolverhampton supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Carlsbad AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Carlsbad AFC.
