The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Said Bilal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Lacen having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Assia Meskine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palmdale East's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sauk City the free kick. The supporters of Sauk City booed when Palmdale East was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Assia Meskine didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kamel Mihoubi got free with Daniel Lacen in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Kamel Mihoubi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mimoun Ouid Mesbah kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 33 minutes, Boudjemaa Fahima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sauk City and the Palmdale East players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Sauk City got a freekick which was hit by Boudjemaa Fahima. Yazid Boulmerka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Faouzi Aliche read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Daniel Lacen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kamel Mihoubi in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Palmdale East's goalkeeper Daniel Lacen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Said Bilal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Lacen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yazid Boulmerka made a kick off. Faouzi Aliche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yazid Boulmerka, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Yazid Boulmerka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Sauk City getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ahmed Reda Madouni hit a great ball. Faouzi Aliche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yazid Boulmerka in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Sauk City's goal looked a bit too open when Yazid Boulmerka came free, but Faouzi Aliche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lili Hima struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Faouzi Aliche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmdale East. When Said Bilal came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Sauk City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Said Bilal couldn't finish the play. Said Bilal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sauk City's Kamel Mihoubi in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Said Bilal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Daniel Lacen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Palmdale East players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
