Mohamed Boutabout could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Rabah Mezdad made a huge save. Robert Matmour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ahmed Amara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rabah Mezdad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amar Madjer in the 16th minute of the match. Rabah Mezdad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amar Madjer's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Djamal Ouyahia kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Rabah Mezdad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amar Madjer in the 21st minute of the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Mohamed Boutabout managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perth Amboy AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohamed Boutabout was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Perth Amboy AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Matmour came free, but Ahmed Amara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Huntersville AFC's Rabah Mezdad got control of the ball when Mohamed Boutabout tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute Djamal Ouyahia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Amara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Perth Amboy AFC's Amar Madjer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rabah Mezdad. Rabah Mezdad yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Gilles Mansouri took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmed Amara. Ahmed Amara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When Mohamed Boutabout came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Perth Amboy AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohamed Boutabout couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robert Matmour made a kick off. Huntersville AFC's Gilles Mansouri got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Robert Matmour's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmed Amara was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 66th minute Amar Madjer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rabah Mezdad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rabah Mezdad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amar Madjer, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute, Amar Madjer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robert Matmour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zīn ud-Dīn Massi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Matmour was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Gilles Mansouri came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Huntersville AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilles Mansouri couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the match, Perth Amboy AFC's goalkeeper Ahmed Amara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilles Mansouri. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
