Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdelaziz Kensi in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmed Amara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jean-Baptiste Mammeri kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camel Zéroual in the 21st minute of play forced Perth Amboy AFC's goalkeeper Ahmed Amara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmed Amara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camel Zéroual, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Amar Madjer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohamed Boutabout's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mohamed Prévost read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Abdelaziz Kensi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Garrison booed when Perth Amboy AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zīn ud-Dīn Massi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amar Madjer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Abdelaziz Kensi made the kick off in the second half. If Amar Madjer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohamed Prévost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Boutabout, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Ahmed Amara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelaziz Kensi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute Mohamed Boutabout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohamed Prévost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mohamed Prévost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amar Madjer in the 80th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Mohamed Boutabout cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Mohamed Prévost was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Perth Amboy AFC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Djamel Sennaoui hit a great ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Camel Zéroual managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garrison's supporters crossed their fingers, but Camel Zéroual was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Garrison's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
