Spectators: 6725 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rafik Zoheir Boniche started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Hewlett was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jussef Ben Hima to maneuver through the defense. McMechen's Hamid Teissier couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hewlett. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Lacen in the 8th minute of play forced Hewlett's goalkeeper Abdelnasser Mezdad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Rafik Zoheir Boniche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hewlett's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafik Zoheir Boniche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdelnasser Mezdad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Lacen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Hewlett getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Nordine Boulahfane hit a great ball. In the 23rd match minute, Hewlett was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafik Zoheir Boniche to maneuver through the defense. Jussef Ben Hima hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Hewlett's goalkeeper Abdelnasser Mezdad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Smail Horr. Ismaïl Belfaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Abd el Larbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 42 minutes, Smail Horr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. McMechen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Smail Horr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Abdelaziz Messaoudi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. McMechen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hewlett the free kick. If Ismaïl Belfaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Mohamed Lacen made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Smail Horr in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdelnasser Mezdad saved Hewlett from getting behind. Ismaïl Belfaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abd el Larbi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafik Zoheir Boniche in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafik Zoheir Boniche in the 63rd minute of play forced McMechen's goalkeeper Abd el Larbi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68thth minute of the game Mohamed Lacen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hewlett's Abdelnasser Mezdad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafik Zoheir Boniche struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Abd el Larbi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hewlett. Abd el Larbi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ismaïl Belfaa in the 75th minute. Ismaïl Belfaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abd el Larbi having to interfere. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind McMechen's goalkeeper Abd el Larbi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 80 played minutes McMechen got a freekick which was hit by Abdelhamid Bouziane. Ismaïl Belfaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismaïl Belfaa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Abd el Larbi made a huge save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of McMechen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hewlett:s goal. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Rafik Zoheir Boniche took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Abd el Larbi to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hewlett eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
