After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Mohammed Morceli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sansom FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohammed Morceli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmed Sennaoui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mohammed Morceli in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmed Sennaoui prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abd el Chaib in the 11th minute of play forced Sansom FC's goalkeeper Cheb Bruel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mohammed Ahmed Kraouche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Assia Cohen-Tannoudji fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saylorville FC's protests and gave Assia Cohen-Tannoudji a yellow card for diving instead. Assia Cohen-Tannoudji hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abd el Chaib in the 19th minute of play forced Sansom FC's goalkeeper Cheb Bruel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mohammed Ahmed Kraouche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Farid Lacen charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Farid Lacen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abd el Chaib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohammed Morceli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute of the match, Mohammed Morceli tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ahmed Sennaoui saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Sansom FC booed when Saylorville FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Assia Cohen-Tannoudji didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohammed Morceli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ahmed Sennaoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmed Sennaoui made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Abd el Ibrir sent off a good shot on target. Ahmed Sennaoui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohammed Morceli in the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sansom FC's Madjid Zafour got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute of the match Mohamed Sad shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cheb Bruel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abd el Chaib in the 80th minute of play forced Sansom FC's goalkeeper Cheb Bruel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmed Sennaoui acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 87th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nasser Hasni. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Saylorville FC's goalkeeper Ahmed Sennaoui, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 96 minutes, Abd el Ibrir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sansom FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abd el Ibrir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 98th minute Mohammed Morceli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Sennaoui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
