After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Yazid Mammeri managed to get in a good position for a shot. DanBang FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Yazid Mammeri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rachid N'Soumer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mohamed Bilal's late challenge caught a DanBang FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mohamed Bilal helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Catskill FC! Mustapha Benyamina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Yazid Mammeri put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rachid N'Soumer. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. Catskill FC's Rachid N'Soumer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustapha Benyamina in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Yazid Mammeri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mehdi Ulansi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jussef Gallaire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
