Kassel Chaouchi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karim Lelouch in the 28th minute of the match. If Fawzi Medaci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdelaziz Benzine got free with Chadli Ighil in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Chadli Ighil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelaziz Benzine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karim Lelouch was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Real Madrid's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of Plainville:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Real Madrid:s goal. The goalkeeper, Kassel Chaouchi, was totally fooled by Real Madrid's Souad Messaoudi, who 86 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
