After 17 played minutes, Brookings FC's Mohammad Saïfi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mahieddine Soltani came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brookings FC reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hocine Bezzaz during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Brookings FC's Hocine Bezzaz got a free kick in the 19th minute. A collision led to Guadalupe AFC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Salim Feraoun hit a great ball. Brookings FC's Mohammad Saïfi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mahieddine Soltani but with some difficulty. Faouzi Zarabi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lakhdar Bougherra. Brookings FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 29th minute, Hamza Ammour got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Slimane El-Hadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Slimane El-Hadi in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lakhdar Bougherra, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Abdelaziz Zenia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Mahieddine Soltani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zīn ud-Dīn Nabil charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zīn ud-Dīn Nabil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th match minute, Guadalupe AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zīn ud-Dīn Nabil to maneuver through the defense. Lakhdar Bougherra made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Slimane El-Hadi sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th match minute, Guadalupe AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salim Feraoun to maneuver through the defense. Leon Labi's late challenge caught a Guadalupe AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Slimane El-Hadi got free with Lakhdar Bougherra in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Guadalupe AFC booed when Brookings FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hocine Bezzaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th match minute, Brookings FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hocine Bezzaz to maneuver through the defense.
