The referee showed Ahmed Hamdani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Somerdale AFC booed when Shelton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Djabir Hima didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Somerdale AFC fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Somerdale AFC's Boubekeur Bourebbou looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Meziane Abbas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mouloud Zéroual having to interfere. The supporters of Shelton AFC booed when Somerdale AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mourad Rimitti didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Somerdale AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yazid Mecherara was slow to take the kick. During this time Shelton AFC's players had a chance to rest. Yazid Mecherara made a great header on Shelton AFC's corner, it was just that Somerdale AFC's Lounès Cavalli managed to reach the ball for a save. Mohammed Ahmed Kader hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Lounès Cavalli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mebarek Sofiane in the 37th minute of the match. Abdelmalek Zemmamouche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lounès Cavalli having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Abdelmalek Zemmamouche kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Shelton AFC's Mansour Mammeri got a free kick in the 56th minute. Meziane Abbas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Mouloud Zéroual made a huge save. Mouloud Zéroual made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Meziane Abbas sent off a good shot on target. Boubekeur Bourebbou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mouloud Zéroual having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Somerdale AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mourad Rimitti. Somerdale AFC's Lounès Cavalli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdelmalek Zemmamouche in the 81st minute of play. Shelton AFC's Mouloud Zéroual proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Shelton AFC from getting a goal against them. After 85 played minutes Shelton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mebarek Sofiane. Boubekeur Bourebbou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Mouloud Zéroual tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Meziane Abbas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 94 minutes into the game, Mebarek Sofiane cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Lounès Cavalli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Mebarek Sofiane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Somerdale AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Shelton AFC.
