Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jean-Michel Saadane took the kick off in the first half of the match. Merkel's Madhi Kraouche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faouzi Zenia in the 7th minute of play. After 10 minutes of play, Merkel's Meziane Schoonmaker made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mehdi Megharia was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Zīn ud-Dīn Apap came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Merkel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zīn ud-Dīn Apap couldn't finish the play. Abderaouf Kouici struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Madhi Kraouche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gunbarrel AFC. After a defensive mix-up in Gunbarrel AFC's zone, Meziane Schoonmaker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehdi Megharia came out of the goal and Meziane Schoonmaker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jean-Michel Saadane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Megharia having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Gunbarrel AFC got a freekick which was hit by Abdelkader Bitat. Merkel's Jean-Michel Saadane got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the game, Meziane Schoonmaker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Mehdi Megharia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Meziane Schoonmaker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Mehdi Megharia made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faouzi Zenia was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Merkel's goal looked a bit too open when Faouzi Zenia came free, but Madhi Kraouche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Gunbarrel AFC booed when Merkel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zīn ud-Dīn Apap didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faouzi Zenia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fodil Bouziane hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Merkel fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, Gunbarrel AFC's Lounès Benmabrouk got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Madhi Kraouche. In the 76th minute Jean-Michel Saadane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehdi Megharia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zīn ud-Dīn Apap kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to Merkel getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Hemza Hadjadj hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Meziane Schoonmaker during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Meziane Schoonmaker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faouzi Zenia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Madhi Kraouche having to interfere. Abderaouf Kouicis short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Madhi Kraouche to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 93rd minute Faouzi Zenia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Madhi Kraouche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abderaouf Kouici kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 98thth minute of the game Jean-Michel Saadane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gunbarrel AFC's Mehdi Megharia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
