Mehdi Mesbah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Houari Lamine Kab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Houari Lamine Kab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Mesbah having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tahar Kouidri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mehdi Mesbah was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Grantsville FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hameur Abdelghani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abderrachid Cixous could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Rabah Sam made a huge save. 24 minutes into the match, Fodil Hadjadj dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rabah Sam, 1-0. Rabah Sam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fodil Hadjadj, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Rabah Sam came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Grantsville FC's Abderrachid Cixous. But to his dismay, Abderrachid Cixous quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Fodil Hadjadj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rabah Sam having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Manchester United's Mohammed Rahouli got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Fodil Hadjadj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Rabah Sam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Houari Lamine Kab to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Boubekeur Khelaifia notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Manchester United's Rabah Sam. Rabah Sam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Houari Lamine Kab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tahar Kouidri got free with Mehdi Mesbah in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Houari Lamine Kab was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Manchester United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Hameur Abdelghani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fodil Hadjadj came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Grantsville FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fodil Hadjadj couldn't finish the play. After 66 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed Mimoun. In the 70th minute Houari Lamine Kab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehdi Mesbah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Fodil Hadjadj had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rabah Sam. Manchester United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fodil Hadjadj was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Abderrachid Cixous struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Rabah Sam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grantsville FC. A collision led to Grantsville FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Boubekeur Khelaifia hit a great ball. Mehdi Mesbah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Houari Lamine Kab, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Rabah Sam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abderrachid Cixous, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Chaba Azem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Abderrachid Cixous had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
