Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rachid Aribi got the match started through his kick off. North Miami's Mohamed Larbi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save North Miami from getting a goal against them. BESIKTAS's Mohamed Ben Allalou got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Per Lundström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamid Boutabout in the 12th minute of play. Hamid Boutabout blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Per Lundström having to make a save. A collision led to BESIKTAS getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Lakhdar Bouzid hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, North Miami's Hocine Otman broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Hamid Boutabout might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Per Lundström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hamid Boutabout ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th match minute, BESIKTAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faouzi Kouri to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, BESIKTAS's Karim Bellemou Messaoud got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 43rd minute, Hocine Otman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mohamed Ben Allalou to make the kick off. BESIKTAS's Per Lundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rachid Aribi in the 54th minute of play. Safy Mammeri scored 1-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mohamed Larbi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 64th match minute, BESIKTAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Safy Mammeri to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, BESIKTAS's goal looked a bit too open when Rachid Aribi came free, but Per Lundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per Lundström was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Rachid Aribi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rachid Aribi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Per Lundström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rachid Aribi in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Safy Mammeri in the 74th minute of play forced North Miami's goalkeeper Mohamed Larbi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th play minute Hamid Boutabout came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Per Lundström. 1-2. After having played for 90 minutes, Mohamed Ben Allalou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BESIKTAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohamed Ben Allalou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mohamed Ben Allalou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Larbi having to interfere. The BESIKTAS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching North Miami's performance. The match ended with a win for North Miami.
