With his leg Djamal Amara managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Sabers's Mimoun Ouid Hindi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nouredine Bentifour during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 played minutes Sabers got a freekick which was hit by Nouredine Bentifour. Hocine Madouni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noureddine Djenia Lkbira kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in La Academia's zone, Hocine Madouni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Djamal Amara came out of the goal and Hocine Madouni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mohammed Ahmed Ben Djenia Lkbira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Albert Mezdad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohammed Ahmed Ben Djenia Lkbira succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 36th minute, Mohamed Bahari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of La Academia booed when Sabers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hocine Madouni didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half La Academia were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mimoun Ouid Hindi to make the kick off. With a little luck, Sabers's Albert Mezdad got control of the ball when Ali Kafi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mimoun Ouid Hindi might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Djamal Amara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mimoun Ouid Hindi ran back to his position shaking his head. Djamal Amara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karim Mezdad in the 67th minute of the match. If Salah Feraoun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Hocine Madouni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Academia's Djamal Amara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mimoun Ouid Hindi in the 74th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Bouzid Bencheikh in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sabers's Mahieddine Assad. In the 83rd minute, Mohammed Ahmed Ben Djenia Lkbira had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mahieddine Assad during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Sabers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mahieddine Assad to maneuver through the defense. Salah Feraoun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Mezdad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. The La Academia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Academia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
