The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Mustapha Hamdani came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the North Caldwell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustapha Hamdani couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the North Caldwell defense, Jean-Michel Meskine kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fodil Aziz. The North Caldwell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fodil Aziz should have stopped the shot. In the 10th match minute, Waupaca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halim Fellahi to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Karim Aggoune hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Michel Meskine in the 18th minute of play forced North Caldwell's goalkeeper Fodil Aziz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 played minutes Waupaca FC got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed Zarabi. In the 21st match minute, Waupaca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boubekeur Piaf to maneuver through the defense. Jean-Michel Meskine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Fodil Aziz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fodil Aziz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from El Makkeb in the 30th minute of the match. Waupaca FC's Nordine Mehenni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Waupaca FC from getting a goal against them. Mustapha Hamdani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nordine Mehenni having to interfere. Fodil Aziz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from El Makkeb went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Jean-Michel Meskine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Fodil Aziz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El Makkeb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

North Caldwell's Souad Yahi suffered a concussion in the 56th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Hocine Mimoun fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Waupaca FC's protests and gave Hocine Mimoun a yellow card for diving instead. After 56 played minutes Waupaca FC got a freekick which was hit by Hocine Mimoun. If Mustapha Hamdani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fodil Aziz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Michel Meskine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Makkeb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Makkeb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Fodil Aziz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Mustapha Hamdani had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nordine Mehenni. Waupaca FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mustapha Hamdani was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Jean-Michel Meskine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmed el Ibrahimi kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Jean-Michel Meskine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodil Aziz having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
