The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Benamar Khendu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tedj Bouguerra struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Mohamed Dahar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Odessa. In the 9th minute Tedj Bouguerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohamed Dahar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 11 minutes, Benamar Khendu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rockwood's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benamar Khendu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. West Odessa's Fawzi Boulmerka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoine Abbas in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Antoine Abbas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fawzi Boulmerka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute of the game, Larbi Djebar landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Antoine Abbas kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Antoine Abbas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Fawzi Boulmerka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chaba Bouteflika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Dahar having to interfere. West Odessa's Fawzi Boulmerka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoine Abbas in the 32nd minute of play. Chaba Bouteflika recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Chaba Bouteflika had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 played minutes Rockwood got a freekick which was hit by Nabil Doutté. With a little luck, Rockwood's Mohamed Dahar got control of the ball when Chaba Bouteflika tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antoine Abbas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Fawzi Boulmerka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

In the 54th minute of the match Kamel Hadjadj shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fawzi Boulmerka showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Nabil Hamdani fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored West Odessa's protests and gave Nabil Hamdani a yellow card for diving instead. Antoine Abbas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fawzi Boulmerka having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Chaba Bouteflika managed to get in a good position for a shot. West Odessa's supporters rose to their feet, but Chaba Bouteflika was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohamed Dahar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute, Safy Boudjedra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute of the match, Kamel Hadjadj got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fawzi Boulmerka was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fawzi Boulmerka made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Antoine Abbas sent off a good shot on target. Fawzi Boulmerka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benamar Khendu in the 71st minute of the match. After 76 minutes, Nabil Doutté mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rockwood and the West Odessa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nabil Doutté hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Farès Chebal struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. In the 93rd match minute, West Odessa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Farès Chebal to maneuver through the defense. West Odessa were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
