In the 20th match minute, Boscobel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rachid Hamid Brahima to maneuver through the defense. After 24 minutes, Karim Djebar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gothenburg FC and the Boscobel players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Gothenburg FC got a freekick which was hit by Karim Djebar. Abdelmalek Sifi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Hamid Benhabiles. Hameur Massi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faouzi Boutabout in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Faouzi Boutabout left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gothenburg FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Gothenburg FC's zone, Souad Matmour stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelmalek Sifi came out of the goal and Souad Matmour tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Abd al-Aziz Mezdad notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Gothenburg FC's Abdelmalek Sifi. Abdelmalek Sifi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Faouzi Boutabout to make the kick off. Gothenburg FC's Abdelmalek Sifi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tahar Oussalah in the 52nd minute of play. Rachid Hamid Brahima might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abdelmalek Sifi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rachid Hamid Brahima ran back to his position shaking his head. Rachid Hamid Brahima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tahar Oussalah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelmalek Sifi having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Tahar Oussalah managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boscobel's supporters rose to their feet, but Tahar Oussalah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdelmalek Sifi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Boscobel's Hameur Massi got control of the ball when Faouzi Boutabout tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gothenburg FC's Abdelmalek Sifi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rachid Hamid Brahima in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute Faouzi Boutabout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hameur Massi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Mohammad Kaci Diafat had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Souad Matmour fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boscobel's protests and gave Souad Matmour a yellow card for diving instead. Gothenburg FC's Yahia Zeghdoud was substituted for Mohammad Kaci Diafat. Yahia Zeghdoud struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Hameur Massi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gothenburg FC. After 88 played minutes Boscobel got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed Oussalah. 90 minutes in the game Fathi Benbitour did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Mohamed Moussa. 94 minutes into the match, Gothenburg FC's Faouzi Boutabout sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hameur Massi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
