In the 32nd minute, Said Boutabout made a precise shot to the right of Rafik Zeghdoud. American Canyon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in American Canyon's zone, Tayeb Zidane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafik Zeghdoud came out of the goal and Tayeb Zidane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mohamed Faudel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chih Benhamou in the 37th minute of play. Mohamed Faudel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chih Benhamou's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Mahmoud Fanon's late challenge caught a American Canyon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mahmoud Fanon helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Turfal Teahupoo FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Mahmoud Fanon hit a great ball. When Tedj Bourebbou came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Turfal Teahupoo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tedj Bourebbou couldn't finish the play. Turfal Teahupoo FC's Mouloud Beloufa managed to work through American Canyon's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mouloud Beloufa dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After the first half Turfal Teahupoo FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tedj Bourebbou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rafik Zeghdoud came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Turfal Teahupoo FC's Said Boutabout. But to his dismay, Said Boutabout quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Rafik Zeghdoud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tedj Bourebbou, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Mouloud Beloufa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Turfal Teahupoo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave American Canyon the free kick. 68 minutes into the match, Turfal Teahupoo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdellah Bezzaz came free, but Mohamed Faudel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, American Canyon's goal looked a bit too open when Tedj Bourebbou came free, but Rafik Zeghdoud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of American Canyon booed when Turfal Teahupoo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karim El Ouafi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Turfal Teahupoo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferhat Matmour came free, but Mohamed Faudel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Chih Benhamou managed to get in a good position for a shot. American Canyon's supporters rose to their feet, but Chih Benhamou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohamed Faudel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mouloud Beloufa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 minutes of play, Turfal Teahupoo FC's Tedj Bourebbou made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafik Zeghdoud was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Chih Benhamou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mohamed Faudel was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Turfal Teahupoo FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
