The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Ludomir Grucza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hocine Sofiane. THE SAM UNITED's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ludomir Grucza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. THE SAM UNITED's Hocine Sofiane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludomir Grucza in the 7th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Garfield Dream Team's goalkeeper Manos Karelas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdelkader Toumi. 16 minutes into the game, Maamar Belfaa threw the ball into play from the sideline. Garfield Dream Team's Assia Kaci Said quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Garfield Dream Team's Claudio Astolfi got a free kick in the 17th minute. Garfield Dream Team's Ludomir Grucza got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of THE SAM UNITED booed when Garfield Dream Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Meziane Lamine Kab didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37thth minute of the game Abdelkader Toumi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garfield Dream Team's Manos Karelas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abdelkader Toumi made a kick off. Cheb Ulansi hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ludomir Grucza in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hocine Sofiane prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute, Meziane Lamine Kab hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maamar Belfaa kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. When Ali Hima came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the THE SAM UNITED fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Hima couldn't finish the play. If Mohamed Zahouania had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The THE SAM UNITED manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Garfield Dream Team to win.
