Paris Saint-Germain F.C's Abdelaziz Aboulker was substituted for Marcelo Napier. Ali Benhabiles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bouzid Harkouk in the 27th minute of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Dämir Abdulxälilov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ryūkyū's Mounir Yahia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Ryūkyū's Mounir Yahia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dämir Abdulxälilov in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Dämir Abdulxälilov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mounir Yahia. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

FC Ryūkyū's Mounir Yahia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dämir Abdulxälilov in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dämir Abdulxälilov in the 55th minute of play forced FC Ryūkyū's goalkeeper Mounir Yahia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dämir Abdulxälilov in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mounir Yahia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 65th minute Dämir Abdulxälilov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mounir Yahia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dämir Abdulxälilov scored 0-8 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mounir Yahia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Paris Saint-Germain F.C's zone, Bouzid Harkouk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Benhabiles came out of the goal and Bouzid Harkouk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Paris Saint-Germain F.C getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Djamel Mamouni hit a great ball. Takis Papanicolaou kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Salim Bougherra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mounir Yahia. FC Ryūkyū's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paris Saint-Germain F.C's goalkeeper Ali Benhabiles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 90 minutes, Șerban Panduru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ryūkyū and the Paris Saint-Germain F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dämir Abdulxälilovs short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Mounir Yahia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
