When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Ali Sadmi put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Tedj Bendjedid. Tedj Bendjedid came out of the goal and Ali Sadmi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tedj Bendjedid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Sadmi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Coventry City were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 56th minute Hameur Amara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tedj Bendjedid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mohammad Kaci Amirouche hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Coventry City's goal looked a bit too open when Bouabdellah Sofiane came free, but Hocine Morceli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hocine Morceli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bouabdellah Sofiane, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Hocine Morceli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Medjadi Adjani in the 82nd minute of the match. Hameur Amara's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Tedj Bendjedid skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 87 minutes into the match, Coventry City's goal looked a bit too open when Medjadi Adjani came free, but Hocine Morceli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mohammad Kaci Madjer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coventry City played a much better game than Rolling Hills Estates FC and deserved their victory. The Rolling Hills Estates FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
