Spectators: 8584 (Terracing: 6439, Seating: 1974, VIP seats: 171) VfB Stuttgart's Toma Spasunov started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, VfB Stuttgart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Zafirov to maneuver through the defense. In the 3rd minute, Rabah Bensaïd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 3 played minutes, PSG FC's Ben Djebar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mantas Plingis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PSG FC reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmed Sahraoui during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 6 played minutes VfB Stuttgart got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Sahraoui. Rio Darwis scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmond Bentaala, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in VfB Stuttgart's zone, Ferhat Hadjar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mantas Plingis came out of the goal and Ferhat Hadjar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Liamine Benzine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the game, VfB Stuttgart's Rio Darwis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmond Bentaala made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Rio Darwis came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the VfB Stuttgart fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rio Darwis couldn't finish the play. Ferhat Hadjar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toma Spasunov struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Edmond Bentaala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VfB Stuttgart. Edmond Bentaala didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toma Spasunov went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Mantas Plingis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferhat Hadjar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Nouredine Ahmed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toma Spasunov was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 39th minute. VfB Stuttgart's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Fawzi Dziri's late challenge caught a VfB Stuttgart's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fawzi Dziri helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes PSG FC got a freekick which was hit by Fawzi Dziri. Edmond Bentaala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Zafirov in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, VfB Stuttgart's Rio Darwis got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Ivan Zafirov succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 45th playminute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferhat Hadjar made a kick off. Edmond Bentaala came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by VfB Stuttgart's Ivan Zafirov. But to his dismay, Ivan Zafirov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 56th match minute, VfB Stuttgart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rio Darwis to maneuver through the defense. Mantas Plingis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferhat Hadjar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toma Spasunov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmond Bentaala having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Zafirov in the 64th minute of play forced PSG FC's goalkeeper Edmond Bentaala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Ivan Zafirov notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of PSG FC's Edmond Bentaala. Edmond Bentaala was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 67th match minute, VfB Stuttgart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rio Darwis to maneuver through the defense. When Toma Spasunov came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the VfB Stuttgart fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toma Spasunov couldn't finish the play. The supporters of VfB Stuttgart booed when PSG FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fawzi Dziri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Ivan Zafirov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VfB Stuttgart's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Zafirov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Zafirov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmond Bentaala having to interfere. VfB Stuttgart's Ivan Zafirov got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Toma Spasunov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmond Bentaala came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by VfB Stuttgart's Ivan Zafirov. But to his dismay, Ivan Zafirov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Toma Spasunov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nouredine Ahmed's late challenge caught a VfB Stuttgart's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nouredine Ahmed helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, PSG FC's Nouredine Ahmed got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute of the match Rabah Bensaïd sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edmond Bentaala skillfully saved the ball. Edmond Bentaala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Zafirov in the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, VfB Stuttgart's goal looked a bit too open when Ferhat Hadjar came free, but Mantas Plingis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Liamine Benzine came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the PSG FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liamine Benzine couldn't finish the play. After 96 played minutes PSG FC got a freekick which was hit by Nouredine Ahmed. VfB Stuttgart walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
