Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rachid Ziani might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abdel Karim Lamine. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rachid Ziani ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 5 minutes, El Lacen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferris's supporters crossed their fingers, but El Lacen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdel Karim Lamine made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when El Lacen sent off a good shot on target. Rachid Ziani hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Rachid Ziani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdel Karim Lamine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rachid Ziani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdel Karim Lamine was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. With his leg Abdel Karim Lamine managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Ferris's El Lacen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. El Lacen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rachid Ziani was extremely unlucky when he, in the 24th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Rachid Ziani put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Abdel Karim Lamine. Ferhat Asma kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Rachid Ziani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Lacen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdel Karim Lamine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Abd al-Asis Lacarne kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Cottage Grove's Abdel Karim Lamine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rachid Ziani in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cottage Grove's Mohamed Djahnine got a free kick in the 39th minute. With a little luck, Cottage Grove's Abdel Karim Lamine got control of the ball when El Lacen tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute Rachid Ziani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdel Karim Lamine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rachid Ziani made the kick off in the second half. Abdel Karim Lamine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from El Lacen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abdel Karim Lamine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rachid Ziani's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After 58 minutes, Farid Merbah mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cottage Grove and the Ferris players grew even worse after the yellow card. Farid Merbah hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Cottage Grove's goal looked a bit too open when El Lacen came free, but Abdel Karim Lamine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ferris's Abdulhamid Zafour got a free kick in the 71st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ferris's zone, Krim Kader stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hocine Meriem came out of the goal and Krim Kader tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rachid Ziani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohamed Djahnine hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Rachid Ziani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Khair ad-Din Temmam in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hocine Meriem saved Ferris from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rachid Ziani in the 84th minute of play forced Cottage Grove's goalkeeper Abdel Karim Lamine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, one of Cottage Grove:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cottage Grove. Faouzi Djahnine walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Ferris's El Lacen got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Ferris players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
