After a rather tough play, Sun Super Stars's Paul Classon got a free kick in the 11th minute. Houari Benflis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lounès Sakhri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Abdulhamid Larbes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Abelardo Mateus successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After the first half Sun Super Stars were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samir Mouzaoui to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Sun Super Stars's Joos Gallot ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Houari Benflis. Houari Benflis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Mz Test's Houari Benflis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lounès Sakhri in the 57th minute of play. When Abdelkader Bensaoula fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mz Test's protests and gave Abdelkader Bensaoula a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute of the match Abdulhamid Larbes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Houari Benflis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Houari Benflis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thelma Dib in the 63rd minute of the match. Houari Benflis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lounès Sakhri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mouloud Ben Bella kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match.
