In the 19thth minute of the game Hocine Djamel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curwensville's Fawzi Mezdad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Curwensville's goal looked a bit too open when Hocine Djamel came free, but Fawzi Mezdad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antoine Cavalli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adlène Rimitti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fawzi Mezdad came out of the goal and Hocine Djamel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abdel Mansouri lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Curwensville fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! In the 34th minute there was a penalty for Sparlingville AFC. Ahmed Zerara kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When Dida Ziani fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sparlingville AFC's protests and gave Dida Ziani a yellow card for diving instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
