Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in King's zone, Ruddi van Nistelrooij stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cheb Hima came out of the goal and Ruddi van Nistelrooij tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 4th minute, King's Tayeb Djamel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ismaël Bougherra. Ismaël Bougherra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Samir Matmour blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ismaël Bougherra having to make a save. In the 11th minute, Fouad Messaoud got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ali Said hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. With his leg Ismaël Bougherra managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when King's Fouad Messaoud fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ruddi van Nistelrooij recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th match minute, King was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belaid Messaoud to maneuver through the defense. Ahmed Reda Mihoubi kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Tayeb Djamel was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. New City's Ismaël Bougherra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save New City from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute, Mohamed Ben Camus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Ahmed Reda Mihoubi sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and King's Cheb Hima didn't even have to move. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, King's Farid Abdessalam got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 52 played minutes, New City's Ahmed Reda Mihoubi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cheb Hima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in New City reached it. Ismaël Bougherra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samir Matmour in the 58th minute of play. Ismaël Bougherra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fouad Messaoud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of New City booed when King was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Ben Camus didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Cheb Hima managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when New City's Ruddi van Nistelrooij fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A sloppy throw-in by Rafik Zéroual in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by New City's Ahmed Reda Mihoubi. Cheb Hima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruddi van Nistelrooij in the 78th minute. 82 minutes into the match, New City's goal looked a bit too open when Tayeb Djamel came free, but Ismaël Bougherra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Rafik Zéroual in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by New City's Ahmed Reda Mihoubi. Cheb Hima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruddi van Nistelrooij, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. A collision led to King getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Belaid Messaoud hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the game, Rafik Zéroual threw the ball into play from the sideline. New City's Ahmed Reda Mihoubi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
