Spectators: 8034 (Terracing: 5750, Seating: 2100, VIP seats: 184) In the 5th minute of the game Kaká Soares made a throw-in which Khair ad-Din Malek played forward. Grigore Coșereanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Nordine Zidane when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Lowell FC's Nordine Zidane threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Khair ad-Din Malek, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 16 minutes into the match, Lowell FC's Grigore Coșereanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nordine Zidane narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nordine Zidane was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Grigore Coșereanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Grigore Coșereanu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Nordine Zidane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grigore Coșereanu in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Coșereanu in the 33rd minute of play forced New Ellenton's goalkeeper Nordine Zidane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Grigore Coșereanu could shoot a difficult shot in the 41st minute, which Nordine Zidane however easily saved by the left post. In the 46th match minute, New Ellenton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Gumaro to maneuver through the defense. Uku Allikas didn't quite understand what happened when in the 47 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pompiliu Stoican made a kick off. New Ellenton's Nordine Zidane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigore Coșereanu in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Grigore Coșereanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nordine Zidane was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 60 minutes into the match, New Ellenton's goal looked a bit too open when Khair ad-Din Malek came free, but Nordine Zidane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 70 minutes, Khair ad-Din Malek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lowell FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Khair ad-Din Malek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grigore Coșereanu in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nordine Zidane saved New Ellenton from getting behind. Nordine Zidane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khair ad-Din Malek, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Grigore Coșereanu scored 3-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nordine Zidane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th minute of the match, Pompiliu Stoican tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Silviu Lung saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nordine Zidane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grigore Coșereanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grigore Coșereanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nordine Zidane didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Khair ad-Din Malek went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Lowell FC's Uku Allikas got a free kick in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Stoican in the 95th minute of play forced Lowell FC's goalkeeper Silviu Lung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Grigore Coșereanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nordine Zidane. New Ellenton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Grigore Coșereanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When the referee ended the match the Lowell FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
