In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gambo's goalkeeper Vince Jarrell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Lenny Henderson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vince Jarrell was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Lenny Henderson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When Eliseo DuLin came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Gambo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo DuLin couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Kagawong's Trent Tanner dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. In the 74th minute, Arden Lafontaine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute, Marty Wang made a precise shot to the right of Arturo Lester. Kagawong's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. In the 86th minute, Kagawong's Tory Madison ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vince Jarrell. Vince Jarrell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. The Kagawong players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
