The supporters of Gambo booed when Goodridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graig Montano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Asa Chaney was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a little luck, Gambo's Vince Jarrell got control of the ball when Sébastien Gordon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Clint Rhodes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marty Wang in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Gambo booed when Goodridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graig Montano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Wang in the 22nd minute of play forced Goodridge's goalkeeper Clint Rhodes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marty Wang struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Clint Rhodes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gambo. Eliseo DuLin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clint Rhodes having to interfere. Arnold Walton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Goodridge's Clint Rhodes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marty Wang in the 32nd minute of play. Eliseo DuLin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Rocco Creech managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gambo's supporters rose to their feet, but Rocco Creech was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clint Rhodes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clint Rhodes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Wang in the 39th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Goodridge's zone, Eliseo DuLin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clint Rhodes came out of the goal and Eliseo DuLin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Marty Wang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gambo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marty Wang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Rocco Creech hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Gambo's Marty Wang got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sébastien Gordon in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vince Jarrell saved Gambo from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Porfirio Huot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goodridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Porfirio Huot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vince Jarrell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marty Wang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clint Rhodes having to interfere. Marty Wang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Gambo getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Federico Pomerleau hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Gambo's goal looked a bit too open when Porfirio Huot came free, but Vince Jarrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marty Wang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th match minute, Goodridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graig Montano to maneuver through the defense. Goodridge's Clint Rhodes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marty Wang in the 89th minute of play. When Eliseo DuLin came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Gambo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo DuLin couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the game, Gambo's Marty Wang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clint Rhodes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Vincent Rivard fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gambo's protests and gave Vincent Rivard a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th match minute, Gambo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Rivard to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Gambo getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Asa Chaney hit a great ball. In the 97th minute of the match Jacques Holloway shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vince Jarrell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match was over Gambo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Goodridge throughout the match.
