Alphonse Callahan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve McDonough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Brabant's Steve McDonough got a free kick in the 29th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donald Ernst got free with Alphonse Callahan in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Arrandale FC's Alphonse Callahan got control of the ball when Donald Ernst tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nestor Oconnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Brabant booed when Arrandale FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Bussière didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steve McDonough might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alphonse Callahan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Steve McDonough ran back to his position shaking his head. Antione Binet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Oconnell in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steve McDonough was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Brabant's goalkeeper Antione Binet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nestor Oconnell. If Steve McDonough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 61 minutes, Nestor Oconnell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrandale FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Oconnell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donald Ernst in the 63rd minute of play forced Arrandale FC's goalkeeper Alphonse Callahan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steve McDonough recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 69 minutes, Mitchel McManus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brabant and the Arrandale FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Brabant fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! Florencio Rudd placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Julien Goss kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, one of Arrandale FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Arrandale FC. Arrandale FC's Alphonse Callahan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve McDonough in the 90th minute of play. Patrick Felix hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. If Steve McDonough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 97 minutes, Patrick Felix mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arrandale FC and the Brabant players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alphonse Callahan came out of the goal and Steve McDonough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Arrandale FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Arrandale FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
