The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stevie Murphy was a little too slow when Lenny Henderson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. Arturo Lester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yong Salmons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yong Salmons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Lester having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Trent Tanner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kagawong's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seaforth AFC the free kick. Yong Salmons blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arturo Lester having to make a save. 34 minutes into the match, Seaforth AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tory Madison came free, but Stevie Murphy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stevie Murphy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tory Madison in the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seaforth AFC's goalkeeper Stevie Murphy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stevie Murphy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tory Madison, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When Tory Madison came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Kagawong fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tory Madison couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Trent Tanner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Kagawong booed when Seaforth AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilford Delarosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 68 minutes, Wilford Delarosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seaforth AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilford Delarosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Tory Madison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Seaforth AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kagawong.
