Noel Trujillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darrell Greenwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Lanoraie FC's Noel Trujillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anatole Dubose in the 13th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rickie Reese during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rickie Reese kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Lanoraie FC's Fausto Echols nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donald Otero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 27 minutes into the match, Newcastle FC's Anatole Dubose sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Noel Trujillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, Newcastle FC's Anatole Dubose nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Echols couldn't finish the play. Newcastle FC's Donald Otero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvatore Parham in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute Salvatore Parham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donald Otero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Darrell Greenwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anatole Dubose made a kick off. Jackson Gendron hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Salvatore Parham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donald Otero having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Fausto Echols managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanoraie FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Echols was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, Floyd Avery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anatole Dubose recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th match minute, Newcastle FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darren Laisné to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Salvatore Parham's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donald Otero was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Carey Ramos hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Newcastle FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Echols came free, but Donald Otero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anatole Dubose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd match minute, Newcastle FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jackson Gendron to maneuver through the defense. Noel Trujillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatole Dubose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto Echols received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Donald Otero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donald Otero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salvatore Parham's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Newcastle FC's Carey Ramos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Noel Trujillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Newcastle FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
