Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Walton Webber started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Innisfail's zone, Colombe Brock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Aldrich came out of the goal and Colombe Brock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ollie Gareau came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Innisfail's Daryl Crane. But to his dismay, Daryl Crane quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With a little luck, Macalister's Ollie Gareau got control of the ball when Daryl Crane tried to sneak it across the goal line. Robert Aldrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kendrick Bloom in the 16th minute of the match. Innisfail's Walton Webber got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daryl Crane's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Ollie Gareau skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Innisfail's Robert Aldrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kendrick Bloom in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Macalister's Otha Mullen got a free kick in the 37th minute. Ollie Gareau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walton Webber, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The supporters of Innisfail booed when Macalister was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelvin Cummins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ollie Gareau didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daryl Crane went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Ollie Gareau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walton Webber in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kendrick Bloom to make the kick off. Innisfail's Robert Aldrich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Innisfail from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Innisfail's Nigel Hurd got a free kick in the 54th minute. Kendrick Bloom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Robert Aldrich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Connie Huntley hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, Innisfail's goal looked a bit too open when Colombe Brock came free, but Robert Aldrich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walton Webber might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ollie Gareau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walton Webber ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute, Otha Mullen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ollie Gareau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daryl Crane, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Robert Aldrich came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Macalister's Colombe Brock. But to his dismay, Colombe Brock quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. If Kendrick Bloom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Toney Bullock's shot from long distance in the 95th minute was not bad at all, but Innisfail's Robert Aldrich knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post.
