Bradford FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Alejandro Schmitz scored to the left of an out of position Pete Mabry, making the score, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Arnaud Senneville's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rigoberto Maddox was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Arnaud Senneville put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rigoberto Maddox. Rigoberto Maddox showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Palmer Chamberlain, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Arnaud Senneville's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rigoberto Maddox read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. If Ferdinand Hardy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Hardy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Mabry having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Bradford FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Schmitz came free, but Pete Mabry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deer's Rigoberto Maddox played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Palmer Chamberlain in the 24th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Archie Otero during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ferdinand Hardy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Mabry having to interfere. Ferdinand Hardy struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Pete Mabry didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deer. Pete Mabry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Schmitz in the 37th minute of the match. Archie Otero got his second yellow card in the match during the 38th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnaud Senneville stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deer's Ferdinand Hardy got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Tharp's late challenge caught a Bradford FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Tharp helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Deer getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Alfredo Tharp hit a great ball. Alejandro Schmitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Pete Mabry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arnaud Senneville had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Hardy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Mabry having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alejandro Schmitz in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pete Mabry prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stacy Gaillard took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pete Mabry. Pete Mabry dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 81 minutes into the match, Deer's Ferdinand Hardy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pete Mabry narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alejandro Schmitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alejandro Schmitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Pete Mabry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Deer fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bradford FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
