After a rather tough play, Creighton's Darron Pruitt got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Jackson Lacombe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of René Bilodeau, 1-1. In the 38thth minute of the game Jackson Lacombe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Creighton's René Bilodeau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th match minute, Creighton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Gilmore to maneuver through the defense. Stacy Rancourt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but René Bilodeau made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Sutherland in the 41st minute of play forced Stettler FC's goalkeeper Ernest Poulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stacy Rancourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot by Basile Beaulé from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got René Bilodeau's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ernest Poulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Preston Summers, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The supporters of Creighton booed when Stettler FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prince Wallace didn't get a good kick on the ball. Preston Summers hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 62 minutes of play, Creighton's Valentin Sutherland made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernest Poulin was left in no man's land by his defense there! René Bilodeau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stacy Rancourt in the 66th minute of play. If Jackson Lacombe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 minutes, Emanuel Roy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stettler FC and the Creighton players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Stettler FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Roy. Preston Summers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cortez Whitaker during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 played minutes Creighton got a freekick which was hit by Kurtis Pierson. In the 82nd minute of the match Sandy Hobbs sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but René Bilodeau skillfully saved the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Stettler FC's goal looked a bit too open when Preston Summers came free, but Ernest Poulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Preston Summers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Poulin having to interfere. Creighton's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
