Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Horace Lindsay kicked off to start the match. Ignacio Katz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Preston Summers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Preston Summers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Creighton's Harland Castaneda got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute Horace Lindsay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Bilodeau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Sutherland scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ignacio Katz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Creighton's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Marino came free, but René Bilodeau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mitchell's Ignacio Katz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Preston Summers in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Creighton's Leandro Gilmore got a free kick in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Creighton's goal looked a bit too open when Horace Lindsay came free, but René Bilodeau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. René Bilodeau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horace Lindsay in the 33rd minute of the match. René Bilodeau didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mitchell's Augustin Marino shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Horace Lindsay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Bilodeau having to interfere. Mitchell's Augustin Marino got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Preston Summers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Creighton booed when Mitchell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Marino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mitchell's Ignacio Katz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leslie Hanks in the 64th minute of play. Horace Lindsay was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 69th minute. Mitchell's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. René Bilodeau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augustin Marino in the 71st minute. In the 80th minute Preston Summers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Katz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mitchell's zone, Valentin Sutherland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Katz came out of the goal and Valentin Sutherland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Thierry Richmond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Creighton booed when Mitchell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Weston Haines didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignacio Katz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harland Castaneda, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Ignacio Katz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Preston Summers in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 98 minutes, Preston Summers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Creighton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Preston Summers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
