Spectators: 6735 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Wendell McPherson took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute Jack Staley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmar Alonzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bob Moïse kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. A collision led to Grainland FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Bob Moïse hit a great ball. Art Chamberlain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Linwood Melanson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Edmonton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Langlais to maneuver through the defense. Edmonton's Linwood Melanson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Edmonton from getting a goal against them. Delmar Alonzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Staley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Delmar Alonzo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Hawk's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After having played for 26 minutes, Wendell McPherson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grainland FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wendell McPherson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henry Hawk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Delmar Alonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Henry Hawk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edmonton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Hawk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Edmonton's Henry Hawk in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grainland FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 41st minute, Jesus Langlais got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Edmonton's Henry Hawk in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grainland FC's goalie prevented a goal. Clarence Rosales hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 47 played minutes Edmonton got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Langlais. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henry Hawk to make the kick off. Linwood Melanson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stacey Schaefer went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 61 minutes into the game, Henry Hawk lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Delmar Alonzo. 67 minutes into the game, Henry Hawk recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Delmar Alonzo. Henry Hawk showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Delmar Alonzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Staley, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henry Hawk in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delmar Alonzo saved Grainland FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Wayne Youngblood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edmonton's supporters rose to their feet, but Wayne Youngblood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delmar Alonzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Linwood Melanson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wendell McPherson in the 83rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Jack Staley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edmonton's supporters rose to their feet, but Jack Staley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delmar Alonzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute of the match Saul Stroud shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Linwood Melanson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Grainland FC's Bob Moïse got a free kick in the 90th minute. The audience was convinced that Henry Hawk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delmar Alonzo was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Edmonton's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
