Spectators: 7258 (Terracing: 5658, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Edmonton's Henry Hawk started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archie Otero in the 5th minute of play forced Edmonton's goalkeeper Linwood Melanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 5 played minutes Edmonton got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Wolf. In the 7thth minute of the game Palmer Chamberlain who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edmonton's Linwood Melanson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Henry Hawks short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Pete Mabry to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Linwood Melanson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Palmer Chamberlain in the 13th minute of play. If Henry Hawk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-0 became the score in the 30th minute when Henry Hawk elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Bradford FC's goalkeeper Pete Mabry had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruben Sinclair. 40 minutes into the match, Bradford FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Staley came free, but Pete Mabry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henry Hawk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Pete Mabry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bradford FC's Terry Winslow got a free kick in the 43rd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute, Jack Staley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pete Mabry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jack Staley in the 58th minute of the match. Linwood Melanson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaud Senneville in the 64th minute. Wayne Youngblood took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pete Mabry. Pete Mabry dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Linwood Melanson was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Arnaud Senneville capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arnaud Senneville really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. If Wayne Youngblood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Palmer Chamberlain got free with Linwood Melanson in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Edmonton's Henry Hawk in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bradford FC's goalie prevented a goal. Pete Mabry stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Hawk's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Pete Mabry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Hawk in the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Bradford FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Langlais came free, but Pete Mabry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bradford FC's Palmer Chamberlain got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
