Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jacques Boone took the kick off in the first half of the match. Hassan Fagan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Lothaire Desilets tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Veteran FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hal Barth to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute of the match Doyle Rudolph shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lothaire Desilets showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lothaire Desilets stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hassan Fagan's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Hassan Fagan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lothaire Desilets having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Guillaume Looney had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Columbus Lopez. Dupuy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guillaume Looney was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hassan Fagan in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lothaire Desilets saved Veteran FC from getting behind. A collision led to Veteran FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Corin Deschenes hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dupuy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! Yann Nugent scored 1-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lothaire Desilets, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Columbus Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacques Boone in the 43rd minute of play. Dupuy's Valéry Schneider got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 49th minute, Hassan Fagan made a precise shot to the right of Lothaire Desilets. Veteran FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hassan Fagan to strike the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Morrison's late challenge caught a Veteran FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Morrison helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Dupuy's Emanuel Morrison got a free kick in the 56th minute. Columbus Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillaume Looney, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 58th match minute, Dupuy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Giguère to maneuver through the defense. Guillaume Looney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valéry Schneider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hassan Fagan in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lothaire Desilets prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute Guillaume Looney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Columbus Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Palmer Cho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valéry Schneider received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lothaire Desilets came out and tried to block the shot, but Valéry Schneider slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 76th minute. Veteran FC's Lothaire Desilets proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Veteran FC from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute, Guillaume Looney had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doyle Rudolph during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 94 played minutes Dupuy got a freekick which was hit by Doyle Rudolph. Jacques Boone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Columbus Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Veteran FC's zone, Valéry Schneider stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lothaire Desilets came out of the goal and Valéry Schneider tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dupuy played a much better game than Veteran FC and deserved their victory. The Veteran FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
