Igloolik's Matthew Murillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quincy McCall in the 20th minute of play. When Seth McKay came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Igloolik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seth McKay couldn't finish the play. Jerrold Kiser hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Laurent Bartley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matthew Murillo was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quincy McCall to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Madawaska FC's Bernie Cartwright got a free kick in the 61st minute. If Kelvin Gallegos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. Madawaska FC's Edmund Sexton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donovan Duclos in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Donovan Duclos notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Madawaska FC's Edmund Sexton. Edmund Sexton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Laurent Bartley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Matthew Murillo made a huge save. When Quincy McCall came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Madawaska FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quincy McCall couldn't finish the play. Quincy McCall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Murillo having to interfere. Matthew Murillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quincy McCall in the 95th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Igloolik had won after a very even match.
