Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Quincy McCall got the match started through his kick off. Delbert Avare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quincy McCall in the 4th minute of play. When Emon Diaz came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Coppermine fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emon Diaz couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute Laurent Bartley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delbert Avare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes, Hiram Esposito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coppermine and the Madawaska FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hiram Esposito kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Everette Lebrun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quincy McCall struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Delbert Avare didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madawaska FC. In the 30th match minute, Coppermine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thaddeus Nelson to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Madawaska FC's Laurent Bartley got a free kick in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Laurent Bartley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Madawaska FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Laurent Bartley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delbert Avare breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Everette Lebrun might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmund Sexton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Everette Lebrun ran back to his position shaking his head. Emon Diaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Madawaska FC's Edmund Sexton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Madawaska FC from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emon Diaz made a kick off. Hiram Esposito kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Coppermine's Everette Lebrun got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delbert Avare made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laurent Bartley in the 62nd minute. Edmund Sexton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emon Diaz in the 64th minute of the match. Quincy McCall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Delbert Avare tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Coppermine's Delbert Avare proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Coppermine from getting a goal against them. If Emon Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmund Sexton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hiram Esposito, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Emon Diaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Sexton having to interfere. Burt Helton kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Edmund Sexton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emon Diaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Coppermine's Emon Diaz in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Madawaska FC's goalie prevented a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Coppermine had played much better football throughout.
