Spectators: 6761 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Branden Irvin got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shad Crews in the 3rd minute of play forced Mattice's goalkeeper John Cornett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Parkview's Collin Lindsay got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John Cornett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Collin Lindsay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Shad Crews managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parkview's supporters rose to their feet, but Shad Crews was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Cornett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute of the match, Branden Irvin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Elias Thomson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Shad Crews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Collin Lindsay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. John Cornett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Shad Crews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Collin Lindsay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. John Cornett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 28 played minutes Mattice got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Asselin. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Collin Lindsay in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Cornett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Parkview booed when Mattice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Asselin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Parkview's Erich Boykin broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Elias Thomson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leopoldo Navarro went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Shad Crews received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. John Cornett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute Shad Crews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Cornett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Collin Lindsay got free with John Cornett in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Mattice getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Clemente Asselin hit a great ball. Shad Crews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ed McCoy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elias Thomson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Branden Irvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. A collision led to Parkview getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ed McCoy hit a great ball. In the 71st match minute, Parkview was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shad Crews to maneuver through the defense. Desmond Hodges hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Branden Irvin in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Thomson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Leopoldo Navarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shad Crews scored 1-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of John Cornett, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elias Thomson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Branden Irvin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Parkview players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
